1. Engineering review, not a mailbox quote
A manufacturing engineer opens the model, names slides, cavity count and features that should be machined. You get that in writing before anyone talks about steel.
CharMax Precision is a Dongguan factory that tools, casts, machines and inspects custom aluminum parts for overseas OEMs. You deal with the engineers who run the program, not a trading desk that forwards drawings.
CharMax Precision is an ISO 9001 certified aluminum die casting manufacturer in Dongguan, Guangdong, China, producing custom high pressure die cast aluminum components in A380, ADC12, A360 and aluminum-silicon alloys for automotive, robotics, industrial equipment, consumer electronics and medical device OEMs. Tooling, casting, CNC machining after casting, surface finishing and inspection run in the same facility, so one company owns the tolerance stack from die design to packed export cartons.
We quote programs, not catalogue SKUs. Send a STEP file, a 2D drawing and the annual volume. You get piece price, tooling class, lead time and a written DFM note — including when machining from billet is the better first year.
The facts a buyer needs before awarding a China die casting program.

Production dies are H13, quoted with expected shots and T1 content. Title transfers when the tool is paid. The die stays here for maintenance; it is never used for another customer.
As-cast geometry holds ±0.1 mm. Sealing faces, bores and threads are machined in-house to ±0.02 mm. There is no inter-factory shipment to argue about when a bore is off.
FAI, material certificates and inspection reports ship with the parts. Day-to-day contact is English. WhatsApp and email both reach the same engineer.
Custom aluminum parts at roughly 1,000 parts per year and up, walls in the 1.5 to 4 mm band, alloys in the A380 / ADC12 / A360 family, and a design that will live long enough to repay a die. Robotics, industrial equipment, electronics housings and similar OEM hardware are the usual work.
Below about 500 parts a year, 6061 or 7075 on the drawing, or a design still changing weekly. Those jobs belong on a CNC mill. We will say so rather than selling a die you will regret.
We are a factory. The cold chamber cells, tool room, CNC machining centres, finishing lines and CMM sit in our own building in Qingxi, Dongguan, operated by our own staff. You can audit the plant, watch T1 samples come off the machine on live video, and speak to the engineer who opened your model.
Custom high pressure die cast housings, enclosures, brackets, heatsinks and mechanical components in A380, ADC12, A360 and related aluminum-silicon alloys. Typical programs are industrial, robotics, electronics, automotive-adjacent and medical-device hardware at 500 to 500,000+ parts per year, with machining and finish completed before export.
Yes. Every new program starts with a written DFM report before steel is cut. The tooling quotation names cavity count, slide count, expected shots and ownership. The die is yours once paid for, stored and maintained here, and never used for another customer.
There is no rigid minimum once tooling exists, and we regularly run batches of 500 pieces. For new programs, the economics rather than a policy set the floor: below roughly 1,000 annual pieces, we will tell you honestly whether CNC machining from billet would serve you better.
A single-cavity production die for a small to medium part typically runs 3,000 to 12,000 USD. Larger parts, multi-cavity dies and tools with multiple slides range from 12,000 to 25,000 USD or more. Tooling is quoted as a one-time charge, remains dedicated to your part, and is stored and maintained at our facility for the life of the program.
A 3D model in STEP, IGES, X_T, SLDPRT or native CAD format, plus a 2D drawing showing critical dimensions, tolerances, surface finish, alloy and any inspection requirements. If you only have a 3D model we can still quote, but a drawing that marks which features are critical to function will get you a more accurate price and prevent misunderstandings later.
Include the STEP file, the 2D drawing and the annual volume. You will hear back from a manufacturing engineer with piece price, tooling class and DFM — or a clear recommendation to machine the first year.
